# Verification (KYC)

**What is KYC and why is it required?**

KYC is identity verification required to issue cards and enable regulated features.

**When will I be asked to complete KYC?**

Only when you try to use a feature that requires it — such as issuing a card.

**How long does KYC take?**

Verification time depends on third-party providers. Some verifications may be completed quickly, while others can take longer depending on the review process.

**What happens if my KYC is declined?**

You’ll be notified and may be asked to provide additional information.
